Oliver Jeffers- Man, I worked my butt off on this one. With the painting of the guy slowly being covered in paint? Yes, I think Mr. Guyer was right about this one; I, like, picked the hardest of his paintings and caused myself way too much stress, which wasn’t necessary at all.
But anyway, you might have heard of this guy from his childrens books. He’s written and illustrated many, including, How to Catch a Star, (which I actually water colored a picture from on the second page of my study)The Incredible Book Eating Boy, and This Moose Belongs to me. (And I was actually able to get information on him!! http://www.oliverjeffers.com/ The internet it helpful, YAY.) He was born in 1973 in Belfast Northern Ireland, but now lives and breathes in Brooklyn. He graduated from the University of Ulster in 2001.
Oliver’s works, books and paintings alike, all have an amount of mystery to them. I always feel like there’s some hidden meaning behind everything, which is really cool, because it makes me think and enjoy it that much more. I also loved his books; even though I was older, I thought they were really cute and different. The parent is supposed to enjoy the book too, right?
