Banksy- Ah, graffiti artists. This fellow here is probably the most famous of all of the artists that decide to put their work on walls that they're not supposed to be on. Banksy’s words and art have touched many, many people, but they have also agitated various amounts as well. A vandal? Or a genius? I found him more of a genius, hence why I did an artist study on him. It is very hard to find information about this artist though, because, for one, he’s a vandal and if he revealed himself to the world he would probably be hauled off to jail, and, for another, the movie he made is rated r and I’m not allowed to watch it. But I did still give it my all. He has a website, a true website made by THE BANKSY, but it doesn’t really give much information on him; it was more helpful in sharing some of his art. http://www.banksy.co.uk/menu.html
I will admit to not understanding some of Banksy’s messages, but I do admire him, because he is very free-willed, and doesn’t care about what other people think about him. I mean, the guy’s a VANDAL, and he also paints very opinionated pictures on his...walls.
“To become truly immortal, a work of art must escape all human limits; logic and common sense will only interfere. But once these barriers are broken, it will enter the realms of childhood visions and dreams.”
Now that, my friends, is a true artist quote. “How to become an artist.” If you want to be an artist someday, that’s what you should aim for. Don’t give a crap about what others think about you, how “weird” people think your art might look. Defy gravity, think out of the box, do things that people have never seen before, and be remembered, just like Banksy is going to be.
